Fed: Coalition will presents its amendments second time around

Opposition leader MALCOLM TURNBULL has promised to give the government coalition amendments
to its emissions trading scheme .. when the legislation goes before parliament a second
time.

Non-government senators intend voting down bills setting up emissions trading tomorrow.

If that happens .. the legislation can't be reintroduced to parliament until November
.. when a second rejection would hand the government an early election trigger.

Mr TURNBULL says the coalition is working on amendments that'll be influenced by the
alternative ETS developed by Frontier Economics.

He's told ABC radio they'll be put forward during parliamentary debate .. second time around.
