TAS: Two deaths within hours on Tasmanian roads
HOBART, April 2 AAP - Two motorcyclists were killed on Tasmanian roads in separateaccidents overnight, police said today.
A 26-year-old man was killed after he lost control of his trail bike on a sweepingbend on East Arm Road, near Launceston, in the state's north, about 7.45pm last night.
Police said the bike crashed down a one-metre embankment, with the man discovered deadat the scene about 6am this morning.
In the state's south, a 22-year-old man from Hobart's Eastern Shore was killed instantlywhen he lost control of his motorcycle and collided with a barrier on the highway approachingthe Tasman Bridge about 1.15am.
The state's road toll stands at 12.
